LEIDSEPLEIN

The Leidseplein is the busiest centres for nightlife in the Amsterdam. The square and the surrounding streets are full of bars, restaurants, outdoor cafes, theaters, dance clubs and the like. Street performers are often found on the square. On busy summer nights, tourists may outnumber locals. From Mid November until Christmas Leidseplein also has an outdoor ice rink and many carts selling typical Dutch pastries and Poffertjes (small sweet pancakes). Many signs and bar names are in English.

 

RIJKSMUSEUM

At just a few minutes walking distance from our hotel you can find The Rijksmuseum Amsterdam. The Rijksmuseum is the Dutch national museum in Amsterdam, located on the Museumquare. The museum is dedicated to arts, crafts, and history. It has a large collection of paintings from the Dutch Golden Age and a substantial collection of Asian art. It also displays the stern of the HMS Royal Charles which was captured in the Raid on the Medway.

The Rijksmuseum is open daily from 9am to 18pm

 

VAN GOGH MUSEUM

At the MuseumSquare you can also find the Van Gogh museum. Take a look around and see his most famouw paintings in real life.

This museum is open daily from 10am to 18pm (on friday it's open until 22pm
